Upon arrival
The door code is set to the last four digits of your cell phone that you gave us.
Hot water
We have an on demand water heater. One you start the showers or faucets, it may take a bit to get hot water but it will come. The shower faucet in the Front Master BR has a 3-way control. The top control determines whether you want water to come out of the wall, rain or handheld shower head. The middle controls the temperature and the bottom is the on/off. You shouldn’t have to adjust the temperature - just give the water a minute or so to warm up.
The controls in the Back Master BR are similar but have two options – wall or rain shower.
Music
We have Sonos in the condo. To use it, you will need to download a Sonos 1 controller from the app store. You can play your iTunes or other music files.
WIFI
Our network is called MIN1. The passcode is mistycarrot554.
Lights and electricity
Electricity is VERY expensive on the island. Please leave lights off whenever you don’t need them. Leave the fans run on low all the time – they ensure that we don’t get mold. If the electricity goes out which it does periodically, leave the freezer door shut and don’t run any water or flush the toilet. It will come back on within an hour or so.
Air conditioning
We have new air conditioners in both the living room and bedrooms. Don’t run them unless you need them. They are expensive to run as well! Remote controls for them and the fans are on the wall near the units. Air conditioners are white, fans are black. We usually run the air to sleep at night and use the fans during the day.
When you leave
· All sliding glass doors should be closed when you leave. Bring the chair cushions inside so the will be dry when you return. Only bring the striped bench cushions in if it is really windy! Our doors in the living room where just replaced and we are missing two screen sections. You can leave the screens open along with the doors when you are in the condo - the breeze is wonderful!
· Leave the fans on LOW in both rooms.
· Pull the door shut – it locks automatically!
Rental Cars
We usually rent from Paradise Rental Company. They are located away from the airport and we’ve found it easier to get the car and get to the condo with them than waiting for a car at the airport. 340-643-2692.
Key Points
We drive on the LEFT side in St. Thomas!
Remember to always look both ways – traffic will be coming at you on the right!
Parking
Parking is against the rock wall across from the entrance to our condo.
The Island
Blue Moon Condo
The Blue Moon is located on the cool Northside of the island. The Airport is on the Southwest end of the island. The Ferry to St. John, Tortolla and St Croix is in Red Hook.
